The basic exchange
On a traffic exchange, often shortened to TE, members submit pages to an advertising rotation. You view other members’ pages through the exchange’s surf area. Qualifying views earn advertising credits, which can be assigned to your own approved pages.
The exchange manages the rotation, its timer, credit balances and submission rules. Each exchange has its own settings. Read its instructions before treating a page view as a credited visit.
What a credit means
A credit is an advertising unit within that exchange. It is not automatically cash, a Colossari reward, or a credit on another exchange. A surf ratio describes the relationship between the pages you view and the credits or visits you receive.
For example, if an exchange awards 0.5 credits per accepted view, 20 accepted views produce 10 credits before any site-specific bonuses. Check how that exchange spends credits when it delivers visits.
Who is seeing your page?
Your viewers are members using the same rotation, often earning credits for their own advertising. They have a different reason for arriving than someone searching specifically for your product. A recorded view does not prove interest, a signup, or a sale.
