Start with your equipped items
Open Slayer. Equipped items are marked, and the page shows how many equipment slots are used. Owning an item and equipping it are different states. Compare your active loadout with the damage breakdown before expecting a new item to improve a strike.
Compare the actual copy
Items can have quality rolls, temper levels and affixes. Copies with the same name can therefore differ. Use the displayed effective damage and item details, rather than rarity or the name alone, to understand the copy you own.
Ichor and the armory
Ichor is a progression currency earned through play. It is separate from cash winnings and exchange advertising credits. The Shop shows available gear, its current ichor cost, and the account’s balance. Read those live amounts before choosing an item.
Tempering, reforging and salvage
Open the item or vault controls to see the available action and its cost. Reforging replaces a line with a new roll and can make an item worse. Salvage and other item-changing actions have their own consequences. Read the confirmation for the particular item instead of treating every action as an upgrade.
Level and progression
The XP bar shows your progress toward the next level. Honours and titles record achievements. If ascension is available, read its on-screen requirements and reset effects before confirming it. A guide cannot substitute for the current state and cost shown for your account.
Check the result
After a loadout change, review equipped slots and the estimate again. Actual strikes can still differ because of critical hits and active effects. Understanding the Hunt explains how to read those results.
Cash scores are separate
More gear damage can shorten the boss hunt and improve game progression. The damage amount is not converted into tournament points: Daily and Boss boards use their view tiers and timing bonuses, including the small natural-critical bonus. Cup view and collectible points are separate. Open tournament scoring for the current cash rules.
Lantern adventure gear
The permanent Shop adds Lantern Pike, Tideglass Bow, Harbor Hammer, Sailcloth Coat, Beacon Helm and Anchor Guard. These initially come from the Shop rather than changing hunt loot. Their established balance values and affinity keys follow the current gear system; compare the live ichor price and item details before buying. Your equipped items are shown together as your Adventure loadout. Gear still affects the boss adventure, rather than granting a paid cash-score advantage.
Optional upgrades and permanent ranks
Upgrades shows your current access, checkout and renewal controls. New Voyager purchases cost $5/month and include six profile accents, a profile message, 90 days of activity and a private Captain’s Log for five saved exchange links and notes. Admiral is $8/month and adds 365 days of activity, 20 saved exchanges and CSV downloads. Owners can buy either personal plan too. Existing subscriptions keep their agreed price and terms.
Founder ($49 once) and Patron ($79 once) include permanent personal styles, a 20-exchange Captain’s Log, 365 days of activity and CSV downloads, plus their star or crown, Council vote and ichor gift. The live offer shows the configured price, gift and closing date. These benefits do not require a monthly pass. Owner tools require actual ownership of an exchange; a rank does not turn a surfer into an owner.
Card monthly subscriptions renew until you cancel renewal on Upgrades. Cleared earnings or eligible wallet funds buy a prepaid 30-day pass without automatic renewal. No paid rank improves cash-tournament scores or payout priority. See refund and cancellation terms.
Lifetime rankings and recognition
Lifetime rankings compare long-term character progress and contributions; they are separate from a daily or weekly cash contest. Public boards use display names, avatars and applicable rank marks. Your private Captain’s Log and activity exports are managed from My activity.
Referral benefits
Future eligible Founder and Patron referral purchases use the referrer’s applicable rate: 5% on free access, 10% with Voyager, or 15% with Admiral or Platinum Owner. Referral commissions must clear before spending or cashout. Existing commission records retain their original terms. Refer real people; do not create self-referrals or extra accounts to generate commission.
