One shared health pool
The large HP value is the boss’s remaining health, compared with its maximum. The percentage and filled bar describe that same value. Credited strikes from participating exchanges reduce the shared pool, so activity elsewhere can move the bar while you are watching.
Phase II and Phase III
The markers divide the health bar into three stages. As health falls, Phase II begins around two-thirds remaining and Phase III around one-third remaining. The labels remain fixed while the fill shrinks. As HP falls, a red glow builds around the boss and the scene edges. It becomes strongest near defeat and follows the same live HP reading as the bar. Check the boss information for its weakness and any active weak point rather than assuming every phase grants a fixed bonus. An active weak point glows on the scene and has a countdown; strike before it closes to use that opportunity.
Your estimated damage
The next-strike estimate is a guide to your current setup, not a promise that every hit will match it. Level, equipped gear, applicable bonuses and critical hits affect strikes. Open Slayer for your damage breakdown and item effects.
Where to strike now
The visible opportunities card shows the current Rift and funded events. A Rift opens for 30 minutes every five hours on an exchange contributing to the current boss. Recent hosts sit out the next three selections when enough ports are available, while lower hunt-board exchanges receive greater selection weight without excluding the leaders. Validated views at the Rift exchange receive 2× boss damage and +10 Daily Skill Sprint / Boss Finale points while it is open. The boss image gains a blue Rift border and a direct exchange link. Follow it before the countdown ends. If no boosted event is live, normal qualifying surfing still contributes.
Read the two boards
Recent strikes lists individual hits, their damage and the exchange that sent it. A CRIT label identifies a critical hit. The exchange board totals contributions for the current hunt. The previous-hunt podium recognizes the leading exchanges from the completed hunt; it is a different period.
When the hunt ends
The boss can be defeated or its time can expire. The next boss replaces it automatically; upcoming bosses are listed in the Bestiary. A boss replacement does not reset the Monday–Friday Boss Finale. Check the final result and the relevant event rules to understand rewards. A high damage total alone is not a guarantee of a cash award. See events and rewards.
Aurel the Lanternback
Aurel is a friendly giant tortoise carrying a lighthouse, joining the permanent boss rotation at a natural hunt replacement. This tier-2 colossus has an Engagement weakness and uses the same health-scaling system as other bosses. Its full-body portrait has a gentle idle motion, amber phase effects and the familiar red edge glow near defeat. The Bestiary shows the boss details and what comes next.
